Christmas arrived early at Pluta Cancer Center this year, as former patient Christy Palmiere dropped off a basket full of holiday cheer a few days before Santa’s sleigh and reindeer are scheduled to take to the air.
Christy held a Lia Sophia jewelry party at her home in Victor, and instead of collecting compensation, she used her credits to purchase jewelry, wrapping the Lia Sophia pieces up as gifts for patients at Pluta Cancer Center.
Palmiere credits her successful treatment to Pluta Cancer Center, a place that’s “near and dear” to her heart. This is the third fundraiser she has held for Pluta. In the past, she donated Silpada jewelry to patients, and at her 40th birthday party, asked guests to make donations to the Center in lieu of gifts, raising more than $800.
Pluta Cancer Center Administrator Kevin Ring says Christy’s continued generosity is an example of the wonderful support the Center receives from former patients.
